South African online business booming as the number of subscribers, either on-line is growing interest and willingness to conduct online transactions increases.
Research conducted by World Wide Worx shows online retailers have risen sharply, making R928million in 2007 increased 35% from R688 million in 2006. Year 2005 / 6 Financial has also experienced strong growth, with 30% of revenues climbing R540million.
Online Goldstück says SA is available in retailrecovery, because the number of experienced Internet users is increasing.
"As the number of Internet subscribers is growing rapidly, is equivalent to the number of consumers who use the Internet for at least five years of growth, creating a growing market for on-line store, it says.
South Africa will be nearly 4 million Internet users, subscribers in late 2008.
Consumers Online Banking maturity
Goldstück said on-lineBanks are a good measure for tracking how many people have the experience of Internet users, because it is generally put in place to make online transactions, "he said.
"We make calculations to see the tendency to buy online," explains Goldstück. "We have developed a formula that shows, roughly, that when you are about five years, chances are you're on-line banking, and once you've done online banking for a certain amount of time, chances are that you're ready to buyline outside the banking community. Some challenges
The only potential problem is the growth in online retail sales to the South African Internet market is not enough new subscribers.
